Welcome to Capes Fauna Project
The Capes Fauna Project is an initiative of Line in the Sand (LITS), a registered charity working with local environmental groups to protect and restore the Cape Naturaliste to Cape Leeuwin region. Through habitat rehabilitation and conservation, LITS inspires both residents and visitors to value and care for this unique landscape.
The project aims to raise awareness about the impact of feral animals on native wildlife by establishing a network of cameras to monitor both feral and native fauna. We engage the community and landholders in practical actions to address these threats, and by building understanding and support across residents, landholders, and government, we can work together to protect the native fauna that makes this region so special.
